South Africa’s national football team has been plunged into fresh administrative turmoil after reports emerged that several team officials were left without visas ahead of their scheduled trip to face Jamaica in Mexico.

The situation has triggered widespread concern within South African football circles, with the latest setback once again raising questions about the efficiency of team logistics and administrative oversight.

Team manager Vincent Tseka has come under renewed scrutiny, with critics pointing to a pattern of avoidable errors following last year’s eligibility controversy involving Teboho Mokoena, which nearly placed South Africa national football team’s World Cup qualification campaign in jeopardy.

The latest visa complications threaten to disrupt preparations for the international friendly against Jamaica, with affected persons reportedly unable to complete travel documentation in time for departure.

Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie has strongly condemned the situation, describing it as both embarrassing and unfair to the individuals. He has called for an urgent investigation, demanding a full report and clear accountability from the relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, the South African Football Association (SAFA) has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, leaving uncertainty around how the issue occurred and what corrective measures will be taken.

The development adds to mounting pressure on the team’s administrative structure, with growing calls for reforms to prevent repeated logistical failures at national team level.
