Rain Forecast Postpones VP Racing Fuels Take It To The Bank Modified Challenge at Macon Speedway

Macon, IL. (6/25/2026) — Heavy incoming rainfall and an unfavorable weekend forecast have forced track and series officials to postpone the VP Racing Fuels Take It To The Bank Modified Challenge at Macon Speedway, originally scheduled for Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, featuring the Summit Racing Equipment United States Modified Touring Series presented by RacingDirt.com.

With significant rainfall expected to begin Thursday and continue through the weekend, officials determined there is no clear path to successfully completing the two-day event. Additionally, with a large number of national touring teams traveling long distances, the early decision was made to help teams, crews, and fans avoid unnecessary travel expenses.

“We were all incredibly excited to bring the stars of the USMTS back to Macon Speedway for the first time in over twenty years,” said Todd Staley, President of the USMTS. “Everyone was looking forward to this weekend, but our goal is always to ensure a successful event for both fans and competitors. With the current forecast, that simply wasn’t possible. Making the call early is the right thing to do.”

Macon Speedway and USMTS officials are currently evaluating the remaining 2026 schedule for a potential makeup date. If a suitable weekend is identified, an announcement will be made once confirmed. Regardless of a reschedule, officials have confirmed the USMTS Modifieds will return to Macon Speedway as part of the yearly schedule in 2027.

All tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded through MyRacePass to the original method of payment.
