Ukraine Launches Massive Drone Attack as Russia Doubles Down on War

Ukraine has launched one of its largest drone attacks on Russia since the war began in 2022, firing nearly 800 drones in two days, injuring three people near Moscow and igniting a fire at a warehouse on Tuesday.

According to Russian officials, more than 600 Ukrainian drones targeted the Moscow region, with Russian air defenses reporting that 180 were shot down.

The attack came shortly after another major Ukrainian drone offensive killed six people and struck Russian military-industrial and logistical targets over the weekend. One strike damaged a warehouse operated by Wildberries, a major Russian online retailer.

Ukrainian officials have increasingly used long-range drones to attack oil facilities, weapons production and transportation infrastructure, attempting to weaken Russia’s ability to sustain the war in the medium to long term and to overwhelm Russia’s air defense…
