NNL: Jigawa Golden Stars Name Majin Mohammed New Head Coach

Jigawa Golden Stars have named Majin Mohammed as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign.

The second-tier club unveiled the experienced tactician at an event held in Dutse, officially confirming him as the man who will lead the team into the new season.

Mohammed arrives with experience from the Nigeria Premier Football League, having managed Niger Tornadoes during the previous campaign.

His appointment is expected to bring top-flight experience and added tactical knowledge to the Jigawa-based side.

The club’s immediate objective will be to mount a serious challenge for promotion to the NPFL. Golden Stars will be hoping Mohammed can use his experience in Nigerian football to build a competitive squad capable of achieving that target.

During his time with Niger Tornadoes last season, Mohammed was handed the responsibility of helping the club avoid relegation from the NPFL. He successfully guided the team through a difficult campaign and secured their survival.
