Uganda’s Ojjoshop joins FasterCapital’s EquityPilot programme

Uganda’s Ojjoshop, a multi-vendor e‑commerce marketplace, has joined the FasterCapital’s EquityPilot programme to accelerate platform development, vendor onboarding, and go‑to‑market activity across urban Ugandan markets and beyond.

Ojjoshop is an online marketplace that connects multiple vendors with customers in Uganda through a user‑friendly interface and commission‑based revenue model. The platform plans to expand vendor services, strengthen logistics partnerships, and roll out marketing initiatives to attract urban online shoppers and build repeat purchase behaviour.

It has now been selected for the EquityPilot programme run by FasterCapital, which will focus in the first 30–60 days on platform refinement, vendor acquisition processes, and initial digital marketing plans to improve user experience and vendor readiness.

Initial activities will prioritise platform polish and operational readiness – finalise remaining development work, build a prioritised vendor onboarding pipeline, validate logistics options with partners, and design the first digital marketing campaigns. Work will be milestone-driven and focused on demonstrable execution tasks rather than funding outcomes.
