As part of its Media Development Uganda & Tanzania (2025–2027) project, DW Akademie has launched an initiative focused on amplifying the voices of youth and women in rural areas of Uganda and Tanzania. Using an innovative cycle approach, 8 Ugandan multipliers – local advocates already active in their communities – are invited to take part in a design challenge that aims to generate solutions addressing identified community needs.
Coaches are exptected to:
- support multipliers in their role as community advocates, helping them strengthen facilitation and leadership skills;
- help multipliers develop and refine ideas and solutions for their communities without taking ownership from them;
- guide multipliers in developing, testing, and budgeting for small-scale projects to be implemented in rural areas of Uganda;
- make sure multipliers consider diversity, accessibility, and sustainability in their project ideas and approaches;
- provide constructive feedback to help multipliers refine their ideas, strategies, and action plans;
- regularly report to DW Akademie and integrate feedback throughout the coaching assignment.
