UAE Allocates $10 Million to Aid Nepal Flood Victims

Abu Dhabi — Acting on the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates has allocated US$10 million through the Emirates Agency for International Aid to support victims of devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.

The disaster has left dozens dead, injured, or missing, and caused widespread destruction.

Tariq Ahmed Al Amri, head of the Emirates Agency for International Aid, affirmed the UAE’s commitment to its global humanitarian role, stressing the country’s responsibility to extend solidarity and cooperation in times of crisis. He said the UAE will continue to mobilize urgent relief efforts to assist affected communities.

Al Amri explained that agency teams are coordinating with local authorities and international organizations to ensure aid reaches all affected groups men, women, and children effectively reducing the impact of the floods and landslides. Relief supplies include food and shelter materials tailored to immediate needs.

The UAE’s contribution underscores its ongoing efforts to provide rapid humanitarian assistance worldwide, reinforcing its position as a leading actor in global solidarity and emergency response.
