Two Nigerians detained over suspected extremist links

The Anti-Terrorism and Extremist Organizations Agency announced the detention of two Nigerian nationals in Qarabulli following surveillance and intelligence operations conducted by its specialized units.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects allegedly circulated inciting content and videos promoting violence and crime on social media platforms, with authorities also suspecting links to extremist groups in violation of anti-terrorism laws.

The agency said the two men have been referred to the Anti-Terrorism Prosecution Office to continue investigations and take the necessary legal measures.
