The calls came as Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar strongly condemned recent Israeli attacks in Gaza that killed civilians, including women and children, warning that the escalation threatened ongoing efforts to implement the ceasefire.
In a joint statement on Thursday, the three countries, acting as mediators, expressed “deep concern” over continued violations and said the intensification of Israeli attacks was undermining regional and international efforts at a critical stage.
They said intensive efforts were under way to implement the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, citing a meeting between the Board of Peace and Israeli officials as well as “constructive steps” in the negotiation process.
Another 10 Palestinians have been killed and 25 wounded in Gaza over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll from Israel’s genocide in the blockaded enclave since October 2023 to 73,417.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Thursday that 174,360 people had also been wounded, while Israeli truce violations had killed 1,283 Palestinians and injured 4,248 others.
