In a statement, police said the accident occurred in the Qubqaba area when a truck veered off course on a secondary road and collided with a passenger vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The injured person was transported to Abu Hamad Hospital for medical treatment, the statement added.
Police said the River Nile State Highway Police responded immediately to the scene, transferred the victims’ bodies, evacuated the injured individual to the hospital, and completed the necessary legal procedures under the supervision of prosecutors.
