Takala, US Chargé d’Affaires discuss Libya’s political crisis

High Council of State head Mohammed Takala met with US Chargé d’Affaires and Senior Political Adviser for Libyan Affairs Jeremy Brandt and the embassy’s Head of Political and Economic Affairs, David Linfield, to discuss the latest developments in Libya.

The meeting, attended by High Council of State Political Committee Chairman Mohamed Moazeb, focused on the latest developments in the country’s ongoing political crisis and ways to advance the political process.

The two sides also discussed efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to end the institutional divide, stressing the importance of coordinating domestic and international efforts to support the democratic process and create the conditions for fair and transparent national elections that meet the Libyan people’s aspirations for stability and development.
