Sundance Resources wins $880m payout for Cameroon mine

Sundance Resources has scored a major win in its six-year legal battle with the Republic of Cameroon, with the government of the West African nation ordered to pay the Australian miner $880 million for wrongly stripping it of a giant iron ore project.

A tribunal governed by the International Chamber of Commerce made the ruling in Sundance’s favour after the privately held company this year lost a similar lawsuit against the neighbouring Republic of Congo.
