Sudan Medical Group Accuses RSF-Affiliated Forces of Killing 27 Civilians

A Sudanese medical group has accused forces affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces of killing 27 civilians in attacks on villages in North Kordofan during Eid al-Adha.
The Sudan Doctors Network said the attacks took place in the al-Murrah area, west of Barah town, and targeted villages with no military presence. The group said elderly people were among those killed.
North Kordofan’s governing administration condemned the attacks, while the doctors’ group described the incident as a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
Sudan has been gripped by war since April 2023, when tensions between the army and the Rapid Support Forces escalated into full-scale conflict. The fighting has killed tens of thousands of people, displaced millions, and pushed large parts of the country into famine.
Both sides in the war have been accused by the United Nations and rights groups of abuses against civilians, including extrajudicial killings, ethnic violence, and sexual violence.
