Worldwide Caution: The Department of State advises Americans worldwide to exercise increased caution.

The U.S. Embassy’s American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit and the Federal Benefits Unit/Social Security Administration (SSA) will host a consular outreach event in Angeles from September 9-10, 2026.   On September 10, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will also participate. We encourage eligible U.S. citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to access a range of services conveniently within their community.  More information on available services will be provided in advance of the event.

SSA Information:

Representatives from the Social Security Administration (SSA) will provide the following services by appointment only.

  • Discuss basic entitlement requirements for the different types of Social Security benefits.
  • Develop benefit claims. Retirement and Disability can be completed online at www.ssa.gov.
  • Process Social Security Number applications.
  • Resolve post-entitlement issues (e.g. change of address, report of death, Medicare enrollments, direct deposit enrollment, non-receipt of benefits, etc.)

To request an appointment, please send an e-mail to FBU.Manila@ssa.gov with the subject line “Clark Outreach”. SSA/FBU will notify applicants of their appointment and provide instructions on what to bring to the event.

To expedite your visit, please bring both the originals and photocopies of documents that you need to submit to SSA. The SSA representative will keep the photocopies and return the original documents to you.
