Stadium rental in the Elite division : Fecafoot unveils new revenue distribution system

The Cameroon Football Federation wants to put an end to the quarrels over stadium rental revenues generated by clubs in the country’s top flight. The most recent of these came from Canon Sport of Yaoundé, who accused Fecafoot of stealing revenue from the Yaoundé military stadium. As of this weekend, clubs and other parties involved in the organisation of matches will be paid immediately after the matches.
According to a document consulted by Lebledparle Sport, the distribution sheet sent to the teams by the Conseil transitoire du football professionnel (CTFP) provides for the following distribution of revenue:
– If the match is played in a stadium belonging to the host club:
70% for the host club
23% for the CTFP
5% for the municipality
2% for the public treasury
– If the match is played in a stadium rented by Fecafoot:
23% for the host club
70% for Fecafoot
5% for the municipality
2% for the public treasury
This new distribution grid comes into effect from matchday 8, scheduled for this Sunday 19 January 2025. On 10 January, Fecafoot invited clubs to designate their stadiums for home matches. The measures taken by Fecafoot are intended to put an end to the financial quarrels that are damaging the championship.
