Simba claimed their third league win in as many games to sit top of the table, albeit with a game in hand over Young Africans, as they look to claim a first league title in five years.
Zambian attacking midfielder Clatous Chama handed the Reds of Msimbazi the lead in the 11th minute, before Black Stars equalised to send both teams level at half-time.

A second-half penalty from Rushine De Reuck gave Simba the lead from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute to ensure the Reds of Msimbazi claimed all three points.
Simba Claim Difficult Win
According to Pan-Africa Football, Maema was delighted with the team’s victory in a difficult game.
“A very difficult match,” the 30-year-old explained.
“I mean, we came here; it’s only the third game away from home, the third game of the league we already have so many injuries,” he added.
“We are playing with pain; we are sacrificing a lot for the team and for the supporters that came out,” the former Sundowns man continued.
“Continue supporting the boys. These guys are giving everything for the club. I think another three points away from home; it’s now nine points, first three away games,” he added.
“We know that they have speedy wingers, but the coach told us that we have to play together; we have to sacrifice for the team because we are missing a lot of players,” he continued.
Maema Calls For Discipline
Despite the victory, the game was marred by the dismissal of Anthony Mligo, the team’s third red card in as many games this season.
“We got two red cards, and this is a third red card in three games, and it seems that we don’t have discipline, but to be honest, this is a team that is always together,” Maema stated.

“We have the discipline; it’s just unbelievable to get three red cards in three games, but we will bounce back,” he concluded.
