Somalia condemns missile and drone attacks on Kuwait

Mogadishu (HOL) — Somali government has expressed full solidarity with Kuwait following missile and drone attacks targeting its territory.

In a press statement issued in Mogadishu on 30 May 2026, Somalia strongly condemned the attacks and reaffirmed its support for Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.

The Somali government said such actions threaten regional peace and security and violate the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

“The Federal Republic of Somalia stands firmly alongside the Government and people of Kuwait,” the statement said.

Somalia also called for restraint, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation and preserve peace, security, and stability in the Gulf region.
