Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has reunited with Manqoba Mngqithi in Tanzania after securing a move to Young Africans.

The Namibian striker left Sundowns at the end of the 2025/26 season and joined Yanga as a free agent after six seasons with Masandawana.
The 32-year-old is reunited with Manqoba Mngqithi after the two spent three years together at the Brazilians, twice finishing as the Betway Premiership top scorer under Mngqithi’s guidance.
Shalulile Motivated By Mngqithi Reunion
According to Tanzanian publication The Citizen, Shalulile’s decision to join the reigning Tanzanian Premier League champions was reportedly motivated by the desire to work alongside Mngqithi again.
For his part, Mngqithi is hopeful that Shalulile’s goalscoring know-how, experience and instincts will be a crucial part of the club’s ambitions to secure a fifth consecutive league title, and to make a strong charge in the CAF Champions League. Namibia’s leading goalscorer is the latest of the club’s 10 signings.
Shalulile’s Lucrative Yanga Deal
Pan-Africa Football reported that the club officials believe the existing relationship between the player and the coach will help him settle at the club and provide immediate leadership in the dressing room.
Shalulile is also expected to be the key replacement for Prince Dube, who left the club in favour of a return to his native Zimbabwe.

He will compete alongside Laurindo Aurélio and new signing Hussein Mihambo for a starting berth, giving coach Mgqithi a welcome selection headache.
The publication also reported that Shalulile has signed a two-year deal with a club, which includes a sign-on fee of approximately $700,000 (approximately R12 000 000)
