Senegal must clear $3.5 billion arrears, reprofile debt, prime minister says

Last week, the IMF ​and Senegal said they had reached a staff-level agreement for ​a $2.2 billion, three-year loan package. A previous International Monetary Fund ⁠programme was suspended in 2024 after the disclosure of misreported ​debt under the previous Senegalese government.
