Saleh: We have not officially received Boulos’s initiative

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, confirmed that the House has not received any official details regarding the initiative proposed by US advisor Massad Boulos, noting that what is being circulated is limited to what is published on social media.

In an interview with the “Al-Youm” platform, Saleh explained that upon receiving the initiative officially, a session will be held to discuss it. He considered it, at present, “an idea under discussion and negotiation,” and he cannot accept or reject it because he has not seen its terms and content.

Saleh denied that the rejection of the initiative was linked to the exclusion of political parties from the political scene, saying such assertions as incorrect, because the initiative has not been formally submitted to the House for consideration.
