Air raid alerts sounded across the capital and multiple regions as Ukraine’s Air Force detected ballistic missiles heading toward Kyiv.
Debris from intercepted targets fell in the courtyard of a residential building in the Podilskyi district and on the grounds of an educational institution in the Shevchenkivskyi district, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA).
“Information about casualties and damage is being clarified,” the KMVA said after reporting the debris fall in Podilskyi.
Initial reports indicated no casualties in the capital, though authorities were continuing to assess possible damage.
The assault on Kyiv was part of a broader, multi-regional Russian barrage. Missiles struck an industrial facility in Kryvyi Rih, wounding two civilians, while three others were injured during missile attacks on Zaporizhzhia.
Kyiv and several central and western regions remained under air raid alerts as the Air Force continued tracking active drone and missile threats into the morning.
