Rick Allen Moore 69 of Brazil passed away July 3, 2026 passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness.

He was born on May 9, 1957 in Clay County to William Lester Moore and Betty Lucille Mcclelland Moore.

Rick was a man of many talents who possessed both practical skills and artistic flair. A 1975 graduate of Brazil High School, he went on to dedicate his professional life to the hospitality field, working for many years in various hotels and restaurants.

Personally, he expressed his creativity through his cooking, his green thumb in the garden and his eye for decorating spaces. He loved competitive card games and the fellowship he found at the Brazil Eagles Aerie 274 where he was a member for many years. Above all else Rick was a devoted son who took pride in caring for his mother.

He is survived by his mother Betty Moore, sisters Billie Lou Phillips, Tammy Kallner, Jenny Dean and brothers Mike Moore,(Joanna) Stephen Moore(Amy) and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father William (Bill) Moore and two brothers in-law, Randy Phillips and Chris Dean.

No services are scheduled at this time.

A celebration of life will be held at the Brazil United Pentecostal Church in October.
