Several battlefronts in Yemen witnessed a cautious lull in fighting over the past hours, even as both Houthi forces and government troops continued to exchange drone attacks and bolster military positions, particularly in Marib, the western coast, and Taiz.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group targeted Saudi troop gatherings and vehicles in Marib and the Red Sea coast using locally manufactured “Rajoom” drones. The group released footage it claimed showed strikes on Saudi positions in those areas.
In response, Yemen’s internationally recognized armed forces announced operations against Houthi military sites in the Fifth Military Region of Hajjah province and against units east of al-Hazm in al-Jawf.
Government forces also published video clips they said documented strikes on Houthi fortifications and vehicles in the Mas belt, al-Kasara, and al-Balq al-Sharqi fronts in southern and western Marib.
Additional footage released by the army purportedly showed the destruction of a Houthi combat vehicle east of al-Hazm.
While the relative calm has eased immediate clashes, both sides continue to reinforce positions and prepare for further escalation, underscoring the fragile nature of the situation across Yemen’s volatile frontlines.
