The Libyan Red Crescent says it has recovered the body of a person found on the coast of Tajoura, east of Tripoli.
Its body management team was sent to the site after receiving a report from a local contact centre, the organisation said on Tuesday.
The team recovered the body after completing legal procedures and coordinating with the relevant authorities. It confirmed that the body was handled in line with approved humanitarian procedures.
The Red Crescent said on Saturday that it had recovered the bodies of four irregular migrants from several locations along the Tajoura coast.
Earlier last week, nine bodies believed to be those of migrants were found in the same area. Search and recovery operations continued for two days.
