Real Madrid Close in on Moroccan Prospect Rayan Zinebi

Casablanca – Real Madrid are closing in on a move for Moroccan forward Rayan Zinebi, with the 19-year-old set to undergo a medical before joining the club’s reserve side, Castilla.

According to Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon, Zinebi will join Real Madrid on loan from Granada with an option to make the move permanent for around €2 million. 

The forward is expected to be part of the Castilla squad.

Zinebi is currently with Morocco’s Under-20 national team at the Mediterranean Games in Italy. 

He is expected to temporarily leave the training camp to complete his medical examination before returning to the squad.

The move follows reports that the Moroccan youngster had attracted Real Madrid’s attention after an encouraging season with Granada. 

He featured across the club’s youth, reserve and first-team setups, including a senior appearance in Spain’s second tier.

The proposed loan would allow Real Madrid to assess Zinebi at Castilla before deciding whether to activate the purchase option.

For Zinebi, the move would represent another significant step in his development, while continuing his progression with Morocco at the international level.
