The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has deployed four units of Police Mobile Force personnel, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and other tactical teams to strengthen the security situation on the Sagamu-Benin Expressway.
The development followed a disturbing security incident around Area J4 along the highway on Thursday.
The command, in a statement issued by its image maker, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said police operatives responded swiftly to a distress report by road users that people suspected to be hoodlums were operating on the expressway.

Ojajuni said an intensive bush-combing exercise is ongoing, with the deployed operatives making significant operational progress in tracking the fleeing suspects, dominating the area, and ensuring the safety of commuters and inhabitants of the corridor.
The command urged members of the public to remain calm, assuring that all necessary security measures have been put in place to ensure public safety.
