Parallel government raises awareness about dangers of flood-induced diseases

Ministry of Health of the parallel government has warned of the potential spread of insect-borne diseases, such as leishmaniasis, in Tahala and the areas in the southwest of the country that experienced floods and torrential rain.

A team from the ministry presented a seminar to raise awareness about the dangers of stagnant water pools resulting from the floods that affected the municipality of Tahala. 

Members of the Ministry of Health’s High Emergency Committee lectured at the seminar, emphasizing the health risks posed by the accumulation of stagnant water.

The seminar addressed health effects of these pools and the potential for the spread of skin and intestinal diseases, stressing the importance of avoiding stagnant water, maintaining public hygiene, and reporting any water accumulations.
