The foreign ministry affiliated with the eastern authorities have discussed arrangements for the planned opening of a Pakistani consulate general in Benghazi.
The meeting involved officials from the eastern administration’s foreign ministry, Pakistani Consul Qasim Zia and Deputy Head of Mission Mohammad Abdullah.
The discussions covered protocol and organisational arrangements for opening the consulate, as well as coordination between the Pakistani mission and the Benghazi protocol office.
The two sides also reviewd arrangements for the consulate’s operations, including issues related to diplomatic protocol, immunities and border crossings.
