Rabat – The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has confirmed that head coach Mohamed Ouahbi will hold a press conference on Tuesday, May 26, to reveal the Atlas Lions’ final squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The event will take place at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, starting at 7:00 p.m. local time (GMT+1).
Ouahbi had already unveiled a provisional squad of 28 players last Thursday. That group entered a training camp designed to prepare the team for the tournament.
The final announcement will confirm which players have secured their place in Morocco’s World Cup roster.
The press conference is expected to draw significant attention, as fans and analysts speculate about possible surprise inclusions or omissions.
The decision will mark the end of weeks of preparation and debate, setting the stage for Morocco’s campaign in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Morocco’s participation in the 2026 World Cup carries high expectations after recent successes on the continental and global stage. Ouahbi’s choices will be closely scrutinized, not only for the balance between experienced internationals and emerging talents, but also for the tactical vision he intends to carry into the tournament.
