Amid rumors of their return to the WRC next season, Ott Tanak and Martin Järveoja will officially be entered by Toyota on September 18 and 19 at the Overmountain Rally Tennessee.

While it’s still difficult to know for sure whether Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja will return to the WRC next season, their activity in recent months suggests that something is in the works, especially since the Estonian driver, the 2019 World Champion, is officially participating in development sessions for the new Toyota WRC27. This Friday, August 21st, Toyota Gazoo Racing confirmed that Tänak and Järveoja will return to competition by participating in the Overmountain Rally Tennessee (September 18th and 19th) in the United States, driving the Toyota GR Corolla Rally2 entered in the ARA championship and complying with local regulations. The pair hadn’t competed since the 2025 Saudi Arabia Rally , although they were also seen at the Rally di Roma Capitale at the beginning of July, in a demonstration crew role.

The crew will be joined by Seth Quintero and Topi Luhtinen, who will be at the controls of the team’s main vehicle. According to the press release, “The participation of the Estonian crew is part of their ongoing testing and will allow the team to acquire valuable information on local tracks, in a region being considered to host a future WRC event in the United States.”.
