On this day: Chatara’s five-for sees Zimbabwe stun Pakistan
On 14 September 2013, Tendai Chatara took Test-best figures of 5-61 as Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by 24 runs in the second Test at the Harare Sports Club, squaring the two-match series 1-1 after Pakistan had won the opener by 221 runs.

Chasing 264, Pakistan reached lunch on the final day at 217-8, still needing 47 runs with two wickets in hand and Misbah-ul-Haq unbeaten. Chatara, who had already taken two wickets the previous day, removed Adnan Akmal and Saeed Ajmal before the interval, then returned after lunch to account for Junaid Khan. Last man Rahat Ali was run out soon after, sparking wild celebrations, with Misbah finishing unbeaten on 79.
The result marked Zimbabwe’s first Test win against a team other than Bangladesh since 2001, and Chatara, just 22 at the time, was named Player of the Match for his maiden Test five-wicket haul.
