The appointments are particularly intriguing given Mosimane’s current situation, with the South African coach set to succeed Hugo Broos as Bafana Bafana head coach.

Maahier Davids, who has worked closely with Mosimane at several clubs, has been appointed as an assistant coach at Al Fateh. Davids has previously worked alongside Mosimane at Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia, Abha Club, Al Wahda and Iranian giants Esteghlal.

Kyle Solomon has also joined the Saudi outfit as a video analyst. Solomon has previously worked at Orlando Pirates and with Mosimane at Al Ahli, while his most recent role was with Sekhukhune United.

The third South African addition is Melesi, who recently left his position as Bafana Bafana’s senior national team strength and conditioning coach. His appointment further strengthens the South African presence within Al Fateh’s technical setup.

The club has confirmed the arrivals, with Al Fateh entering the new Saudi Pro League season having retained its top-flight status after a dramatic previous campaign. The club finished 10th in 2025/26 after recovering from a difficult start, winning nine of its final 15 league matches.
