Olivia Moultrie to miss rest of 2026 season after right ACL injury
PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The Portland Thorns announced Tuesday that star midfielder Olivia Moultrie will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after suffering an ACL injury to her right knee.
Moultrie sustained the injury during a training session last week. The Thorns have placed the 21-year-old midfielder on the Season-Ending Injury (SEI) list as she begins the recovery and rehabilitation process.
The club says it will focus on providing Moultrie with care and resources throughout the coming months.

“Olivia is one of the most driven players I have been around, and she will use that drive during her recovery and rehabilitation,” said Jeff Agoos, president and GM of soccer operations for the Portland Thorns. “She has our full support and every resource this club can put behind her.”
Moultrie has been a key piece of Portland’s midfield during the 2026 NWSL season. She appeared in 16 matches, scoring five goals and recording five assists.
Her injury comes as the Thorns continue their push through the second half of the NWSL season, leaving Portland without one of its most productive midfielders for the remainder of the campaign.
Moultrie has also established herself as a regular contributor for the U.S. Women’s National Team. She has earned 18 appearances for the USWNT, scoring five goals and adding two assists.
The Thorns did not provide a specific timeline for Moultrie’s return, but the club says it will support her throughout the recovery process.
