Nigerian Green Innovator? Apply For PachiPanda Challenge 2026 (₦10M)

Applications are open for the 2026 PachiPanda Challenge Nigeria, an innovation competition for young Nigerians and youth-led SMEs developing solutions to environmental and sustainability challenges.

The challenge is organised by MTN Nigeria in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), through the Nigeria Conservation Foundation (NCF), alongside the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria and Deloitte Nigeria.

This year’s challenge is looking for ideas that address climate change, urban resilience, community conservation and pollution.

The top three winners will share ₦10 million in prize money and represent Nigeria at the Africa PachiPanda Finale in South Africa.

Thematic Areas

Applicants can submit solutions under four areas:

  • Climate Change
  • Climate-Smart Cities and Urban Resilience
  • Community Conservation
  • Pollution

Benefits of Participation

  • A share of ₦10 million in prize money, with ₦5 million for first place, ₦3 million for second place and ₦2 million for third place.
  • An opportunity for the winning teams to represent Nigeria at the Africa PachiPanda Finale in South Africa.
  • A platform to present environmental solutions to industry and sustainability stakeholders.
  • Exposure for young entrepreneurs and SMEs developing solutions for environmental challenges in Nigeria.
  • An opportunity to develop and showcase ideas that can support greener businesses, communities and cities.
  • A chance to contribute solutions that address issues such as emissions, flooding, waste management, biodiversity loss and sustainable livelihoods.

Eligibility for Participation

The challenge is open to:

  • Individuals or teams residing in Nigeria.
  • Young people between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Youth-led SMEs and entrepreneurs with early-stage or idea-stage solutions.
  • Individuals applying alone or teams of up to three members.

Applicants must register online and provide accurate personal information when submitting their entries.

Employees of MTN Nigeria, NCF, UNDP Nigeria and Deloitte Nigeria, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.

Applications for the PachiPanda Challenge Nigeria 2026 close on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Interested innovators can submit their entries before the deadline through the PachiPanda Challenge application portal.
