Nicole Michael Winner Keeps TS Galaxy Queens on the Heels of the Super Era Leaders

JVW FC and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC signed off Week 4 of the Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified series with perfect records as the final day of festival action delivered six goals across three matches at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, on Sunday, 5 July 2026.

Sunday’s programme brought the curtain down on a Week 4 Festival that produced 22 goals across eight matches in the Super Era and Super Rise streams, including the 2-0 award to Ezemvelo Women’s FC after the University of Fort Hare did not take the field on Saturday.

The University of Johannesburg opened Sunday’s Super Rise action with a 3-0 win over City Lads that owed much to their opponents’ misfortune.

Lusanda Mavundla put the students ahead in the 13th minute, and two City Lads own goals, the first in first-half stoppage time and the second two minutes after the restart, completed a scoreline that keeps the University of Johannesburg unbeaten in nine meetings with their Johannesburg neighbours and firmly in the Super Rise title conversation.

Diepkloof Ladies claimed their first win of the campaign at midday, downing Stellenbosch FC 2-0 in the first league meeting between the clubs. Portia Mphuti broke the deadlock with a composed finish in the 31st minute and Lorraine Makhoali doubled the advantage seven minutes later, condemning the Western Cape side to a fourth defeat from four and leaving them rooted to the foot of the Super Era log.

TS Galaxy Queens then closed the weekend by grinding out a 1-0 victory over Richmond United in the Super Era finale. Nicole Michael settled a tight contest in the 65th minute, a strike that keeps the Queens unbeaten through four rounds and extends their commanding recent record over the KwaZulu-Natal club.

The Week 4 standings make emphatic reading at the top of both streams. Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC lead the Super Era on 12 points from four straight wins, with a remarkable 19 goals scored and none conceded, ahead of TS Galaxy Queens on 10 and Copperbelt Ladies FC on nine.

The University of Pretoria occupy fourth on six points, with the University of the Western Cape, Richmond United, Diepkloof Ladies and Stellenbosch FC completing the table.

In the Super Rise, JVW FC boast an identical maximum of 12 points with 16 goals scored and only three against, clear of the University of Johannesburg on nine and Tshwane University of Technology on seven, while the University of Fort Hare and First Touch FC Ladies sit level on five ahead of Ramatlaohle Ladies FC, Ezemvelo Women’s FC and City Lads.

The individual races are just as compelling. Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC forward Noxolo Cesane tops the goalscoring charts on five, one clear of TS Galaxy Queens captain Refiloe Jane and JVW FC’s Gabriela Moodaly-Salgado on four apiece, with Julia Goncalves and Bonolo Mokoma among the chasing pack on three.
