Museveni Extends Uganda’s Condolences and Solidarity with Venezuela Following Devastating Earthquakes
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has extended Uganda’s heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the Government and people of Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes that struck parts of the South American nation, causing significant loss of life and widespread destruction.
In his message, President Museveni expressed deep sympathy to the victims and their families, describing the disaster as a tragic natural catastrophe that claimed many lives, left several people injured, and caused extensive damage to property and infrastructure.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Uganda, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes that hit parts of your country,” the President said.
President Museveni noted that the people of Uganda stand with their Venezuelan brothers and sisters during this difficult period. He wished a speedy recovery to those who sustained injuries and expressed hope that ongoing search and rescue operations would save more lives and prevent the death toll from rising further.
He acknowledged the immense grief caused by the disaster and assured the people of Venezuela that Uganda’s thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn their loved ones and begin the process of recovery.
The President concluded his message by praying for the victims, saying, “May the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the departed souls.”
