MTN Elite One : Colombe du Sud reclaims top spot, results and rankings 

Panthère Sportive du Ndé is on a roll in Elite One. The club from the west of the country recorded their second consecutive victory on Sunday, defeating over Stade Renard de Melong 1-0, following a solid performance the previous weekend against Union Sportive de Douala (2-1). With these new three points, Panthère are now fifth with 16 points, distancing themselves the red zone they had occupied for some time.

Another club on the rise is Coton Sport de Garoua. The Cotonticulteurs thrashed Victoria United last Wednesday 3-0 at the Stade d’annexe Roumde Adja. This win propelled them to 3rd place in the top 5, just behind Gazelle FA, who lost their lead to Colombe Sportive du Sud.

The reigning Cameroon champions regain the top spot that eluded them last weekend. Their 1-1 draw with YOSA put them back in the lead after Gazelle’s 1-2 defeat to Bamboutos. With 10 league games left, the battle for the title of Cameroonian champions is intensifying with Aigle du Moungo, AS Fortuna, Bamboutos FC and YOSA all pushing forward. Bamboutos’ 1-2 win over Gazelle FA in the advanced match of matchday 10 is a sign that the club from the western highlands is determined to avoid relegation to Elite Two. However, they will need to work harder.
