CAMTEL Showcases Zamengoe Data Center to Plan International Cameroon
The engagement forms part of CAMTEL’s broader efforts to provide digital infrastructure and services to businesses and institutions across Cameroon and the wider Central African region.
CAMTEL has hosted an IT team from Plan International Cameroon at its Zamengoe Data Center as part of efforts to showcase the facility’s digital infrastructure and data services.
The visit, held on August 13, 2026, was organised by CAMTEL’s Special Commercial Agency of Yaoundé with support from its Fixed Business Unit. The Plan International team toured key areas of the data centre, including the energy, IT, transport, server and supervision rooms.
Discussions focused on CAMTEL’s data hosting, storage and security solutions, as well as the capabilities of the Zamengoe facility. The Tier III-certified data centre is designed to provide high availability, service continuity, redundancy of critical systems and enhanced security.
CAMTEL said the facility also supports digital sovereignty by enabling organisations to maintain greater control over their data and infrastructure. The company positioned the data centre as a partner for institutions and businesses seeking secure and resilient infrastructure to support their digital transformation.
