Morocco’s Mayssa Baha Makes Barcelona History at 15

Casablanca – Mayssa Baha has become the youngest player to represent Barcelona in an official match. Baha reached the landmark at 15 years, seven months and 14 days, further underlining the extraordinary pace of her development at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The Moroccan youngster has already attracted significant attention this summer after making her first-team breakthrough at Barcelona. 

She recently scored on her senior debut in a pre-season friendly against Montpellier, continuing to make an impression among the club’s first-team setup.

Her latest achievement now adds a place in Barcelona history to an already impressive list of milestones.

Baha first made a name for herself on the international stage at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, where she became the youngest player at the tournament at just 14.

She played a key role in Morocco’s historic campaign, scoring twice against Costa Rica as the Atlas Lionesses reached the round of 16 for the first time.

Her progress has continued in Spain, where she has climbed through Barcelona’s youth system while also representing the Catalonia U16 side, scoring twice in the regional championship semi-finals earlier this year.

Now, at only 15, Baha has another record to her name, and her rapid emergence is putting her firmly among the most exciting young talents in Moroccan women’s football.
