Morocco unveils starting XI for crucial WAFCON clash against Senegal

Morocco women’s national team head coach Jorge Vilda Rodríguez has named his starting lineup for the Atlas Lionesses’ decisive Group A clash against Senegal at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Morocco enters the match looking to secure a third consecutive victory and finish top of Group A after opening the tournament with back-to-back wins.

Vilda has opted for the following starting XI:

Khadija Er-Rmichi; Zineb Redouani, Nesryne Benzina, Yasmin Naciri, Ghizlane Chebbak, Fatima Tagnaout, Sakina Ouzraoui Diki, Sarah Kassi, Ibtissam Jraidi, Anissa Lahmari, and Najat Badri.

The Atlas Lionesses currently lead Group A with six points after victories over Kenya and Algeria, having scored seven goals without conceding.

Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. local time at Stade Moulay Hassan in Rabat, with Morocco aiming to secure qualification for the quarterfinals as group winners.
