However, Morocco’s U17 women are expected to focus primarily on the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which the country will host from October 17 to November 7, 2026. The tournament will feature 24 teams and will be the second consecutive edition hosted by Morocco after FIFA awarded the country hosting rights through 2029.
As hosts, the Atlas Lionesses automatically qualified for the competition and will play in group 1 with France, Chile, and Australia.
Morocco has invested heavily in youth football development in recent years, and expectations will be high for the U17 women’s side as they prepare to represent the host nation in one of the biggest tournaments in world youth football.
