Rabat – The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced a new measure to regulate private football academies and schools operating in Morocco.
Under the framework of a project to establish a national reference system for the organization and management of private football academies and schools, the FRMF has decided to ban private academies and football schools from using the names of foreign clubs.
The ban applies regardless of the form of association, including partnerships, naming agreements, or any other arrangement involving foreign clubs.
According to the FRMF, the decision follows studies conducted as part of efforts to develop regulatory frameworks and implement the national strategy for the development of Moroccan football.
The federation said the measure aims to strengthen the national training and development system while reinforcing the independence of private football academies and schools.
The FRMF also emphasized the importance of ensuring that these institutions operate in line with Morocco’s national football development strategy.
The federation said the broader objective is to contribute to the development of new generations of football players within an integrated national framework.
The announcement was issued today as part of the FRMF’s ongoing efforts to establish clearer standards for private football training structures across Morocco.
