Moroccan Midfielder Mohamed Rabie Hrimat Suffers ACL Injury

Rabat – Moroccan midfielder Mohamed Rabie Hrimat has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), Qatar’s Al Shamal SC announced on Saturday.

The club confirmed the injury following medical examinations conducted after Al Shamal’s match against Al Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League.

“Medical tests confirmed that Hrimat suffered an ACL tear,” the club said in a statement shared on its official social media accounts.

The Moroccan midfielder is expected to undergo surgery, while the club said his return date will be determined after the operation.

Al Shamal wished Hrimat a speedy recovery and expressed hope that he will return to the pitch as soon as possible.

The injury represents another setback for the Moroccan player, who has established himself as an important figure in Qatar’s domestic football.

Hrimat’s absence could also affect his club’s plans for the coming weeks, with the midfielder now facing a lengthy rehabilitation period.

The 30-year-old joined Al Shamal after spending several seasons in Moroccan football, where he represented FAR Rabat and featured prominently in the Botola Pro.

His injury adds to a growing list of Moroccan players facing significant setbacks at the start of the 2026-27 season.
