MOC 2026 to Bring 10,000 Participants to Alexandria for Energy Conference

Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, reviewed preparations for the Mediterranean Offshore Conference & Exhibition 2026 (MOC), which will bring energy companies, government officials, and industry experts to Alexandria from October 20 to 22.

The conference and exhibition will focus on Mediterranean energy and carry the theme “Egypt as a key pillar for securing energy security in the Mediterranean region.”

Badawi said the event will showcase developments in Egypt’s petroleum and natural gas sector and promote the country’s investment potential. Also, he stressed the need to connect international technologies and expertise with the sector’s operational needs and focus on areas that can support higher production and added value.

More than 28 local and international companies will sponsor this year’s event, according to Mohamed Radwan, Vice Chairman for Agreements and Exploration, South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope) and the Manager of Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG).

The first day will feature strategic sessions with executives from global companies and international delegations, covering current energy and gas challenges, particularly in the Mediterranean, Radwan said.

Moreover, the technical committee selected 84 papers from 338 submissions across 27 countries for presentation in around 20 technical sessions, said Tamer Edrees, Deputy CEO for Production at Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).

The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants and visitors, around 1,200 delegates and representatives from 15 governments.

MOC was last held in Alexandria in October 2024, when Badawi described it as a key technical platform for Mediterranean energy activities and a forum for industry stakeholders to exchange expertise and establish partnerships.
