Ministry of Interior opens specialized office to combat human trafficking

Ministry of Interior has announced the opening of an Office for Combating Human Trafficking, affiliated with the General Security Apparatus and security outposts, with the aim of strengthening the system to combat these crimes and develop specialized security work.

The opening ceremony was attended by several Ministry leaders, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Libya, as well as ambassadors and representatives of brotherly and friendly countries and international organizations.

The Ministry indicated that the establishment of the office is in line with national and international standards and agreements, aimed at activating comprehensive coordination mechanisms to pursue those who violate the law and reduce these crimes in accordance with applicable legislation.
