English Championship side Millwall have celebrated the sensational international debut of forward Femi Azeez after the winger scored twice for the Nigeria national football team in their 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe at the 2026 Unity Cup in London.
The Lions took to social media shortly after the match to praise their star attacker following his outstanding display on his first senior appearance for Nigeria, posting: “Two goals for Femi on his Super Eagles debut against Zimbabwe last night.”
Azeez delivered a memorable performance at The Valley Stadium, scoring in the opening minutes before adding a second goal in the second half to help Nigeria secure a place in the Unity Cup final.
The 24-year-old wasted little time making an impression in national colours, showing composure and attacking quality that immediately excited Nigerian fans and earned praise from supporters of Millwall.
His brace also marked Nigeria’s first win over Zimbabwe in several meetings, as the Super Eagles booked another appearance in the Unity Cup final.
Azeez arrived at Millwall after impressing in English football with his pace, creativity and eye for goal.
His performances during the Championship season had already placed him among the club’s standout players before earning a call-up to the national team.
