Metro Water Services employee under federal investigation, search warrant executed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Federal investigators served a search warrant to a Metro Water Services employee this week.

Metro Water Services says the employee is now on administrative leave. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee says the search warrant was executed in a calm, interview-style manner. Officials add there was no raid and the warrant was not served at the Metro Water Services building.

Metro Water Services’ legal team told the employee he would not be represented by Metro’s Department of Law and should get his own lawyer.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and cannot share more details at this time.
