Mbappe Hat-Trick Keep Real’s Winning Start…

Kylian Mbappe bagged his sixth hat-trick for Real Madrid, who thrashed Real Sociedad 4-1 in their first LALIGA clash of the season on Wednesday night.

Manager Jose Mourinho kept faith with the same side that started the win over Espanyol on Saturday as they looked make a solid start at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Kylian Mbappe, who failed to score in the opening game, was eager to get off the mark early in the first half as he carved out some space in the box before unleashing a low strike that forced Alex Remiro into a fine save in the opening 10 minutes.

Sociedad, meanwhile, were by no means outplayed in the first half but they had to wait until the 35th minute for a clear sight at goal, but Sergio Gomez was unable to steer his effort on target after some good work by Mikel Oyarzabal.

The opening goal did arrive five minutes before the halftime break when Mbappe opened his account for the campaign by latching onto a pass from Federico Valverde before firing past Remiro.

However, Los Blancos’ joy was short-live as Sociedad managed to restore parity four minutes later when a goal-mouth scramble in the box ended with Luka Sucic finding the back of the net wit a deflected strike from close-range.

Mourinho’s halftime talk seemed to have done the trick as the hosts restored their lead on 59 minutes when Mbappe played a neat one-two with Jude Bellingham before calmly slotting past Remiro to complete his brace.

Bellingham was in the thick of thigs once again when the England international showed great desire to win the ball back in the opposition box before showing the composure to pick out Vinicius Junior, who fired into an empty net from point-blank range.

However, the night belonged to Mbappe who completed his hat-trick with 10 minutes to play as the Frenchman latched onto a pass from Vinicius before calmly lobbing the on-rushing Remiro to round off a dominant win for Mourinho’s men.
