Marburg virus outbreak in Uganda?

On Monday, the US Embassy in Kampala, Uganda published a health alert stating they were aware of reports of a potential case of Marburg Virus Disease (MVD), a viral hemorrhagic fever, in western Uganda.

Currently, the Ugandan government has not publicly reported on a case of MVD.

If confirmed, Uganda would be battling an Ebola and Marburg virus outbreak simultaneously.
