The Libyan Volleyball Federation has requested the Ministry of Sports to provide urgent financial and logistical support for the national team in preparation for the Zone 1 tournament scheduled to be held in Meknes, Morocco, in June 2026, as part of the qualifiers for the African Nations Cup finals.
This came in an official letter addressed by the Federation’s President, Adnan Al-Bakbak, to the Minister of Sports, Fouad Barghash, in which he emphasized the importance of this participation as a key step in the journey to qualify for the African Championship scheduled to be held in the Democratic Republic of Congo next September, which in turn represents the gateway to qualifying for the World Cup finals.
The Federation pointed out that the national team has a distinguished record at the continental level, stressing that returning to competition among African teams requires providing the necessary resources and appropriate preparation programmed in the coming period.
